Project Description -

Redevelopment of the Rowett North Site in Aberdeen to provide a new Exhibition and Conference Centre incorporating a 200 bedroom, 4 star hotel with a Subterranean Multipurpose Space that can be used for events and car parking as required.

The new AECC is planned to be the centrepiece of a business and leisure-led mixed use development at Rowett North. It will provide a four-fold increase on the available exhibition space at the existing AECC and also increase the entertainment arena to a capacity of 12,500.

The proposed site is a key development identified within the City Council's Strategic Infrastructure Plan, creating full time jobs at a local level as well as greatly benefitting the Scottish Economy with projected visitor footfall. The development targets a BREEAM rating of, ‘Excellent’, harnessing cutting edge hydrogen cell fuelled technologies, utilising extensive use of green roofs and designed to sympathetically sit within the surrounding landscape – forming a truly astounding public realm space whilst realising feats in sustainability.
