At full productivity Arla’s £150million market leading fresh milk dairy, located in Aylesbury, produces one billion litres of milk per year and is “the most environmentally advanced in the world”. Built over a 73 week on site programme it has its own energy centre and effluent treatment facility, vehicle fuel and wash facilities, a stand alone transport office, three gatehouses and various other elements of supplementary accommodation. Notably the scope of works also included the upgrade of the A41 leading towards Aylesbury town centre and construction of an on site surface water balancing pond.
