Project Description

Redevelopment of the Rowett North Site in Aberdeen to provide a new Exhibition and Conference Centre incorporating a 200 bedroom 4 star hotel with a Subterranean Multipurpose Space that can be used for events and car parking as required.

The new AECC is the centrepiece of a business and leisure-led mixed use development at Rowett North. It provides a four-fold increase on the available exhibition space when compared with the previous AECC and also increases the entertainment arena to a capacity of 12,500.

The proposed site is a key development identified within the City Council's Strategic Infrastructure Plan, creating full time jobs at a local level as well as greatly benefitting the Scottish Economy with projected visitor footfall.

The development harnesses cutting edge hydrogen cell fuelled technologies and uses extensive areas of green roofs designed to sympatheticallysit within the surrounding landscape.
