Works at the Fradley Park site comprised construction of a single storey warehouse unit, complete with integral 2 storey offices totalling circa 700,000 sq ft for Tesco PLC.
To accommodate a unit of this size, and associated vehicle movements, the scheme also comprised significant S278 and S38 works to provide widened highways and new entrance and exit roundabouts.
The warehouse, complete with a 20,000 sq ft vehicle maintenance unit, fuelling station, and significant yards, trailer parking and car parks, was constructed to a very tight deadline to facilitate tenant’s specialist fit-out works.
Despite a particularly short pre-contract / negotiation period and the requirement to agree significant tenant variations as works were on site, the facility was fully operational in line with the tenant’s demanding schedule.
