Project Description -
The Temple Green site comprises approximately 165 acres of land, with planning
permission for over 3m sq ft of accommodation. Site infrastructure works comprise
phased remediation of the former open cast mine, together with re-engineering of
previously backfilled material to form prepared development plateaus.
Phase 1 of the site includes adoptable highways to provide access to serviced
development plots and also the installation of drainage, power and other services to the
site. Phase 2 work opens up further areas of the site, and includes a highway bridge
spanning Wyke Beck, which runs across the plots. A plot in phase 1 has been sold to
Leeds City Council and has been developed as a park and
ride facility.
The site received government funding via the Enterprise Zone Capital Grant Fund, and
the development has also benefited from a loan from Leeds City Region LEP’s Growing
Places Fund.
